Written by the acclaimed Spanish playwright Guillem Clua, The Swallow is a heart-breaking story, which is inspired by the 2016 terrorist attack in Orlando. The play reflects on identity, family and love with a strong LGBT focus and we would love your support to spread the word and raise awareness about these issues.

About the Business:

The Cervantes Theatre is a newly established intimate 75-seat venue located in Bankside (only a 2’ walk from Southwark station). It is the proud creation of the Spanish Theatre Company (STC), a charity which aims to bring the best Spanish and Latin American theatre to London and to British audiences, thereby promoting Spanish language dramatic arts. The theatre is London’s first venue dedicated to showcasing Spanish and Latin American plays, which are performed in both Spanish and English.

Cervantes Theatre acts as a cultural link between the UK and both Spain and Latin America. It presents a wide variety of Golden Age classics, as well as modern and contemporary masterpieces, to a broad audience of all nationalities. It also develops productions for schools. Through its bilingual programming, Cervantes Theatre is becoming a reference point in London for Spanish-speaking culture and heritage.
