Typically the fridges behind the bar have 130 beers in them at any one time, as well as ciders, wines and soft drinks and there‘s more beer downstairs.
Their draught beer range is in a constant state of change with 7 keg pumps and 3 cask ale handpulls. Because of this they do not have a single permanent product on the bar as they love to keep things interesting!
If you’re not sure what you want to try, just ask their friendly, knowledgeable staff who will be happy to point you in the right direction.
The aim is to only stock beers that are brewed in their country of origin and never have anything that is brewed under license. This includes beers from as far away as James Boags from Tasmania, to as close as The Kernel Brewery in Bermondsey.
The Rake holds festivals every few months to help shout about everything that is great about craft beer, so keep an eye on their events page. Annual events will include in the first week of March their now well established Welsh Beer Festival and in May a London Beer Festival. They also do tutored beer tastings and meet the brewer events through the LoveBeer arm of the Utobeer business.
