Bankside and You Success Story
Volunteer at St Mungo’s Recovery College
33 Rushworth St
London SE1

Natalie is Art Director at Moonpig.com, based in Bankside. But in her spare time, she’s been helping out in a special way at St Mungo’s innovative Recovery College for homeless people…

What sessions are you running at the Recovery College?

I’m a Forrest Yoga Teacher and I really wanted to use this very healing method of yoga to help others.

How are they going?

I'm running a session a week throughout December, but volunteers can run as many or as few as they like. The sessions are going well and I’ve met so many great people.

How did you get involved?

I got involved just by approaching St Mungo’s with the philosophy behind Forrest Yoga. If anyone’s intrigued, my website for more info is www.yogawithnatalie.co.uk

Would you recommend other Banksiders to consider running a session at St Mungo’s Recovery College?

I would absolutely recommend other Banksiders getting involved with the charity – it’s richly rewarding!

Do you have a skill you could share at St Mungo's Recovery College? From IT to Angling, Meditation to CVs - anything is welcomed by the keen to learn residents of St Mungo's! kb [at] betterbankside.co.uk (subject: Potential%20college%20session%20at%20Mungo's) (Email Katy) for more details.
