‘Shakesperience’ a Fantastic Success for Events Academy 2016
The Events Academy students of 2016 were delighted with their first ever event.
With the help of local businesses they planned and delivered a great event carrying on the legacy of Shakespeare 400 which celebrated the anniversary of his death. The student’s event promoted volunteering opportunities at Shakespeare’s Globe.
As part of their fact finding the students themselves also got to volunteer as Stewards at two of the Globe’s summer production, The Taming of the Shrew and A midsummer Night’s Dream. For some of the students it was their first time to visit the Globe and some have now signed up to volunteer themselves.
The Events Academy Students learned valuable work skills around business planning, time management, team working, communicating, design of event collateral and all of the many elements of event management right down to the last name badge and nibbles for guests.
Watch the students short film and learn more about their Events Academy experience.
