Together at Christmas: Gift wrapping volunteer sessions
Estranged from family and friends, Christmas can be a lonely time for some in the Bankside area. So remind them that somebody cares by getting involved with our Together at Christmas appeal and help us continue to make a difference to the lives of homeless, vulnerably housed and elderly people.
Last year we collected 4700 donated gifts from 75 local businesses, however not all businesses were able to wrap their donated gifts in-house. Our public wrapping sessions are therefore an essential part of Together at Christmas, but they're also a fantastic way for you and your fellow colleagues to get into the festive spirit.*
Join us at St Mungo’s for festive public wrapping sessions - we'll provide the wrapping paper, mince pies and Christmas tunes! You're welcome to come down with your colleagues or simply as an individual. Any time you can volunteer to help is much appreciated.
Wrapping Session Dates:
- 4 December
- 5 December
- 6 December
Location: St. Mungo's, 7 Kings Bench St, SE1 OQX
Please register your interest to take part in the wrapping sessions by getting in touch with Rachel Nicholson rn [at] betterbankside.co.uk (subject: T%40C%3A%20attend%20a%20public%20gift%20wrapping%20session) . Just let us know if you're coming as an individual, or if you're coming with colleagues, how many people to expect.
Here's to making Together at Christmas 2017 an even bigger success!
*Please note, participation in our Together at Christmas wrapping sessions is for local Bankside businesses and residents.
