Join Borough Market on Wednesday 1st March to celebrate the patron saint of Wales, St David. They’ll be joined by Welsh cook, cookery school teacher, broadcaster and mother of five, Lisa Fearn who will be taking the helm of the demo kitchen for a one off Welsh special.
Using seasonal ingredients from the Market and featuring some delicious Welsh produce too, Lisa will be preparing three recipes which you can create at home.
A simple expression of how good quality ingredients can sing, Lisa's menu will include:
- Welsh Cawl Mamgu
- Easy Welsh pot bread
- Cranberry and orange Welsh cakes
Not only this, but there will be a very special musical interlude by the Welsh male choir, Eschoir, singing some well-known Welsh classics. Feel free to sing along and celebrate Dewi Sant!
The demo will run in two parts with a half an hour break for the choral performance. Join from 12.30-2pm for tips, tasters and recipe ideas and why not visit their traditional Welsh traders Gorwydd Caerphilly and Charcutier while you're stopping by. Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus!
