Blackfriars Station (south side exit)
Explore Bankside's heritage with lashings of Shakespeare, a jot of Dickens, lots of pub lore, and London's best skyline panorama. See the astonishing replica of Sir Francis Drake's Golden Hinde, the ship that the great Elizabethan mariner sailed around the world over 400 years ago, now anchored in the Thames. This historical walk will take in the stretch of the river Tate Modern, The Globe, Southwark Cathedral and The Clink before ending at the lovely George Inn.
This is a condensed version of one of the most popular walking tours by London Walks.
