The Bridge gym and cafe, run by the YWCA Central Club, has a hidden garden on its premises on the corner of Southwark Bridge Road and Southwark Street. Would you like to help transform their outdoor space into a green and inviting oasis in Bankside?
Between 12pm and 3pm on 19th July volunteers will help drill, saw and build containers, then fill them full of plants. Local all-round handy people the Goodlife Centre will provide expertise to direct the creative efforts and all equipment, tools and training will be provided – green fingers or DIY experience are not required!
Come for as long or as little as you like and feel free to bring a plant if there’s something you would particularly like to see growing in the garden. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
The transformation of this outdoor space is part of the Bankside Urban Forest programme. Contact Danielle Cohen or Valerie Beirne for more information or to RSVP.
