  • Liz Mellon: CEO at DukeCE (ranked #1 by the Financial Times for custom executive education in May 2010)

Southwark Cathedral

At the heart of Bankside, Southwark Cathedral is London's oldest Gothic church. A church has occupied the site for over 1400 years and has connections with William Shakespeare, US-university benefactor John Harvard and a Mohegan Indian chief.

The Garry Weston Library is the finest room in the Millennium Buildings, which were opened ten years ago. The Library has dramatic arches inspired by the Gothic architecture in the Cathedral and an oriel window depicts the Cathedral's history.
