Difficulties between colleagues in the workplace can be stressful, time-consuming and costly. But effective responses to conflict can transform any workplace conflict into an opportunity for learning and beneficial change. This interactive breakfast workshop run by Alan Sharland (pls link to http://www.caos-conflict-management.co.uk/London.html) will give you an opportunity to explore your own experiences of workplace conflict and create ideas for new ways of responding now and in future similar situations that are of benefit to you and your work or business.
After the session you will have:
· Explored your own thoughts and understandings of conflict and that of others
· Considered new ways of approaching workplace conflict as a positive opportunity
· Gained an insight into the practices and thinking behind mediation and conflict coaching
Alan Sharland has been working in mediation for 20 years originally starting as a volunteer mediator in Camden. He has mediated in NHS complaints, University student complaints, neighbour disputes, workplace disputes, discrimination disputes and education related issues. He trains mediators and conflict coaches and provides conflict management training for managers and staff in working with each other and with clients.
"In my opinion there are few people in this country who are as skilled both as a practitioner and leading advocate of conflict management and conflict resolution as Alan Sharland" - Marina Cantacuzino - Founder/Director of The Forgiveness Project http://theforgivenessproject.com
