Join us for a tour around the intriguing and impossible to ignore, NEO Bankside. Four pavilions designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, next to Tate Modern.
Hear how NEO Bankside takes its cues from its immediate context, with the exposed steel structure hinting at the former industrial heritage of the area during the 19th and 20th centuries. Learn how the site has been planned to fit with the Bankside area and how the landscape designers Gillespies worked with Native Land and Bankside Urban Forest to create a series of richly-detailed garden spaces around the footprint of the apartment pavilions. Discover what external bracing allows for internally and discover what you’d need to pay to call one of the luxury apartments home.
This walking tour will be led by Nicholas Gray from NEO Bankside. Join us if you have an interest in architecture, development, Bankside’s industrial past or are generally interested in these apartments that compete for our attention daily.
We will be leaving from the Bankside Community Space at 1pm and will last just under an hour.
