Brian Groom is UK Business and Employment Editor at the Financial Times, where he has in recent years also been Comment and Analysis Editor, Editor of the Europe Edition, Political Editor and Regional Affairs Editor.
Mark Berrisford-Smith is Senior Economist in the Business Economics Unit at HSBC Bank plc. He is responsible for advising the Bank in the UK and its business customers on developments in the British and global economies, within which remit he takes a particular interest in monitoring the performance of European countries. He speaks regularly at conferences, seminars, and lunches organised or sponsored by HSBC (attending around 90 events in 2009).
