Better Bankside's regular lunchtime gardening club meets twice-monthly during the summer months and helps look after the network of small green spaces we've helped to deliver in Bankside through our Bankside Urban Forest programme.
We will preparing the four flower beds for planting by weeding and pruning back any overgrown plants. Secondly planting up the flower beds with a range plants to extend the season of interest within the beds. This is a part of our In-Bloom preparation. It will also be a great chance for you to see, Red Cross Garden managed by Bankside Open Space Trust. Whom ,we are in partnership with for both London In Bloom and Britain In Bloom.
All tools will be provided and no knowledge of gardening is needed - the aim of the session is to encourage people into the great outdoors, to meet their neighbors and to discover more about what Bankside has to offer while gaining a little gardening knowledge.
Please wear suitable footwear, no open-toes or sandals.
