The Low Line, evoking Manhattan’s High Line, focuses on the rail arches that have been part of Bankside's heritage for over 150 years. This ambitious project will transform the public realm by opening up a walkway that runs along the base of viaducts.
Join us for a guided tour of the Low Line in Bankside, and explore these hidden spaces along the rail viaduct in the heart of London. Led by Valerie Beirne, our Urban Forest Manager, you'll discover an emerging pedestrian walkway, new businesses and destinations along the mighty Victorian rail viaduct linking Southwark tube station with London Bridge. You'll also be able to pick up one of our brand new Low Line walking guides.
Meet at 12.30pm at the rear of Southwark Tube station by cycle hire docking station - please arrive promptly as there's lots to see.
