Training budgets are usually the first to go in a recession in order to save money however, this can leave companies with less skilled employees when the economy begins to pick up.
There are plenty of opportunities for businesses to take advantage of to recruit new staff and train existing employees. EmploySE1 and Better Bankside would like to invite businesses to a free networking event to find out how to utilize their greatest assets through training and recruitment opportunities.
The event will include short presentations from industry experts:

To date, Adam has found training solutions for organisations such as South East Water, Shepherd Neame, Tate Modern and the Natural History Museum.
- Rutie Mupfurutsa - Rutie is an experienced Project Manager and Accredited Business Information Advisor. Rutie joined Better Bankside as theEmploySE1 Coordinator and will share her experiences and thoughts about local employment. She will also give a brief overview on how businesses can take advantage of free recruitment opportunities and the benefits of employing locally.
- Philip Barron - As Corporate Responsibility Coordinator at Land Securities, Philip oversees the Land Securities' London Employment Programme. He has long worked the socially responsible employment agenda.
There will also be the opportunity to network over a light breakfast.
