Members should give details of equipment to be collected, the quantity of material and collection point and reference Better Bankside WEEE Amnesty. Any electrical items and white goods can be collected, including kettles, keyboards, monitors, phones, laptops, and microwaves.
All WEEE is taken to a depot at from where the materials are collected by Sims Recycling and transported to a facility in Kent. Here hazardous and non-hazardous WEEE is separated, broken down securely and recycled. Any hard drives are shredded to ensure confidentiality.
If demand is very high then collections might take place over a couple of days.
