MERGE is Bankside’s annual; arts, music and performance festival curated by Illuminate Productions, created in collaboration with Better Bankside.
This year’s festival launches on 8 June with a programme set to spread good vibes and banish negativity by connecting people to the world around them, their community and each other.
Headline installations include The Feel Good Institute – a multi-sensory experience that invites you to journey through a series of specially curated rooms and a soundscape installation at Crossbones Gardens by British artist, Emily Peasgood. Release endorphins by cutting some shapes at a lunchtime disco, enjoy musical bingo at Borough Market, and expect pop up performances on Blackfriars Road every Friday throughout the festival that will bring some humour to your commute.
Better Bankside Pub Quiz fans will be delighted to know host Timberlina will make a special appearance at Old Union Yard Arches with DJ Auntie Maureen. Authentic Rotterdam Heritage will also be bringing their street play collective to Bankside.
What's more, some of Bankside's venues will be spreading good will with random acts of kindness on 'Happy Mondays.' Think cocktail giveaways, live music nights and plenty more to make you feel good.
This year's festival will run from 8 June - 1 July.
