10 Fantastic Festivals in London this July
Bastille Festival Borough Market , Sun Jul 14
Let's accept it, the French do most things better than us Brits: food, wine, fashion, looking moody... So instead of rallying against it, why not embrace all that is good about French culture? The Bastille Festival is London's largest event celebrating France's national day, with French delicacies, bilingual storytelling, French films and plenty of wine.
The GO Guide: Cool Things to do in London This Weekend: 12 - 14 July 2013
Bastille Festival Bankside, Sun Jul 14
Celebrate La Fête Nationale in true Gallic style at the city’s largest Bastille Day festival. From London Bridge to Blackfriars Bridge visitors will be able to mark the fiery end of French royal rule by watching or taking part in live music, street performance, snail racing, bilingual storytelling and an artisan craft market. Borough Market will be hosting an all-day feast with wine tasting and cooking demos, and the festival will end with the Bal Populaire, an open-air evening street party.
