Published on Time Out Website 19th April 2013

Summer is just around the corner (albeit a big, bleak, tedious corner) and with it comes a load more cyclists on the streets as lots of people dust off their bikes and the all-weather cyclists get their summer bikes out (yes, summer bikes plural). To aid the smooth running of keeping your bikes road worthy, Better Bankside have introduced London’s first free cycle repair workstation. Dubbed ‘The Pink Pit stop’ for obvious reasons, it features a bike stand that fits any bike, a track pump, tools for adjustments and repairs including tyre levers and an adjustable wrench. The stand and pump supplied by Cyclehoop are bolted down and the tools are tethered by aircraft cables to prevent anyone with cruel intentions making off with them. Jude Brosnan

The Pink Pitstop is located at the Better Bankside Community Space, 18 Great Guildford Street, SE1 (0.1 miles from Cycle Super Highway Route 7).
