The Rain Garden Guide
Bankside Urban Forest hosts launch of innovative new guide
Appropriately published during one of the wettest summers in living memory, the guide shows how changing the way outside spaces are designed and managed can help reduce localised flooding whilst at the same time providing an enjoyable area for the benefit of both wildlife and people.
The guide is free to download, and will be a valuable resource to architects, landscape architects, as well as local communities developing greening projects on local housing estates.
In a recent study of green infrastructure of the Bankside Urban Forest area, over 70 sites were identified as being suitable for accommodating a rain garden.
