Better Bankside’s Small Grants Scheme
Better Bankside has a longstanding commitment to the local community through its corporate responsibility programme which helps build connections between its member businesses and local community organisations through volunteering, in-kind support and funding.
After a successful pilot in 2018, we are again running a Small Grants Scheme to support a thriving community and voluntary sector that supports people living in Bankside and the wider SE1 area.
A total of £10,000 is available during 2019/20, to be donated as small grants of up to £1,000 per organisation across two rounds of applications. The funding is intended to make a substantial contribution to the delivery of a specific project or activity; for one-off items of expenditure such as equipment, or for a specific contribution towards core running costs.
The Small Grants Scheme is open to not-for-profit organisations which are connected with and are working to improve people’s quality of life and opportunities in the SE1 postcode area.
Two rounds of grants will be available during the year. Round one closed for applications on Friday 24 May and grants were awarded earlier this summer. Round two is now open, and applications must be submitted by 5pm on Friday 18 October.
Full details of the Small Grants Scheme and application process can be found in the Application Pack which can be downloaded from this page. You can also find out about the organisations and projects awarded grants in 2018 here.
