Bankside and You Opportunity
Help organise a dance showcase with and for young people

London's Next Dance Arrival (LNDA) Competition is an ongoing yearly event run by Get Down Dance Company. It is the UK’s first online dance reality viral show, allowing young dancers to express themselves through movement and compete to win some amazing prizes. The show is aimed at finding young talented individuals aged 11-16 and 17-25 who stand out with unique creative and outgoing personalities. There will be 10-15 participants in each category who will commit themselves to two whole weeks of filming. During these weeks, participants will undergo challenging dance workshops/tasks with UK dance pioneers.

Participants will also have the opportunity to actually step on a platform at the end of the L.N.D.A. documented journey. All participants will perform what they have learnt through the competitive challenges with guest acts at our Grand showcase, which will determine who will be London's Next Dance Arrival 2013.

LNDA needs volunteers to help with filming and running the project between 22nd July and 21st August, and also needs people to ensure the showcase event that it culminates with to run smoothly. People are needed to help with the technical aspects of the performance like sound and lighting, and also with running the event and selling tickets on the day.

We aim to teach young people of all cultures, with or without dance experience, to focus on experimental movement and a range of techniques in different styles of dance. This will be showcased at our end of term showcases. We are a collective company that is based in the Southwark and Lambeth borough.
