Is your company a Better Bankside Community Star?
Have you done any volunteering as a team? Taken part in a sponsored activity for charity? Or maybe colleagues are volunteering or using their professional skills to support local charities?
If your company is doing any of these things in Bankside, you can become a Better Bankside Community Star. You’ll get a logo to put on your website and be listed as a Community Star on our business directory so everyone can find out who’s contributing to the local community. Community Stars can be big or small, businesses or non-profits. Community Stars already signed up include law firm Winckworth Sherwood, London South Bank University, software company Trayport and professional association ABTA. For a full listing see the Community Star page of our business directory.
The Community Star accreditation recognises the contribution companies make to the neighbourhood – whether they are giving volunteer time, donating funds, sharing professional skills, or doing something completely different – and helps your company shout about its community involvement.
To become a Community Star you need to tell us how your business has participated in an activity that benefited the Bankside community (i.e. the people who live, work or study within or close to the Better Bankside BID area) in the last 12 months, using the form on the right. You will also need to commit to keeping up the good work by participating in at least one community activity each year.
To become a Better Bankside Community Star, you must also be a levy-paying member of Better Bankside. If your organisation is a Community Star waiting to be recognised, send your form to Danielle Cohen dc [at] betterbankside.co.uk (subject: Community%20Star)
