St Mungo’s Recovery College on the BBC

Bankside and You Success Story
Video: what did the BBC made of this unique local service?
33 Rushworth St
London SE1

We know how great our community partner St Mungo’s Recovery College is – but this month it was all over the news!

In its first year, the college has enrolled 600 homeless students onto their informal and varied classes, run by volunteers. 60 of these students have gone on to further education as a result. The college is an offshoot programme for St Mungo’s, who manage shelters and supported accommodation for people to progress from homelessness.

Could you run a class for these students? Sessions are run entirely by volunteers just like you, offering as much or as little time as they can spare. Email awilliams [at] (subject: Recovery%20College%20involvement) (Andy Williams) for an informal chat.
