Summer volunteering at Lucy Brown House

Bankside and You Opportunity
Josephine Clarke
Marketing Manager

Lucy Brown House is a sheltered accommodation centre for older people where residents have their own flats and share communal facilities. In addition to this, they also have 10 small gardens belonging to some of the residents.

With summer well on its way, Lucy Brown House are currently looking for some volunteers to do a small amount of gardening to ensure these outdoor spaces can be truly enjoyed by their residents.

If you'd like to get involved, whether that be for 3 hours, an afternoon or even a day, please register your interest with Josephine Clarke, jc [at] and provide the following information:

  • An indication of your availability - i.e. specific date(s) or certain day(s) during the week
  • How long you're able to offer your time - i.e. 3 hours or 1 full day
  • Are you looking to volunteer just once or on a repeat basis?

Please note gardening tools will be provided but volunteers will have to supply their own gardening gloves or any protection clothing.
