Trustee Speed Matching Event - 9 November 2016
If you're looking for trustee opportunities or simply want to learn more about what such a role entails, look no further than Community Southwark's annual Trustee Speed Matching event.
This year's event will take place on Wednesday 9 November from 6 - 8.30pm and aims to bring together 10 - 15 organisations looking for Trustees with up to 40 potential individuals looking for Trustee positions.
Attendees will get the opportunity to speak with a variety of Southwark based voluntary or community organisations and discover the benefits behind trusteeship.
To kick-start the evening, Community Southwark's Head of Support Services, Deborah Hayman will give an introduction on what it means to be a trustee, along with an overview of the responsibilities and level of commitment involved.
The speed matching will then take place, whereby attendees will be given 5 minutes to meet each organisation and hear about what they do, as well as answer any questions. If you make any good matches, there will be time at the end to catch up with the organisations you are keen to volunteer with.
If you'd like to get involved and join Community Southwark for a fun and energetic evening of networking, please contact Josephine Clarke at jc [at] betterbankside.co.uk (subject: Community%20Southwark%3A%20Trustee%20Matchmaking)
