Allyship, anti discrimination approaches and becoming an active bystander.

This three hour online course enables organisations to continue to strive to support the creation of respectful,  inclusive and safe workplace community.

Attending this interactive session will equip you with tools to become more confident in challenging negative behaviours and attitudes including inappropriate banter, bias, prejudice and racism, and understand how privilege can be used for benefit, learn how to be a responsible ally, an anti-racist, and an active bystander.

You will have some pre-session materials to be ready for the session, you will be able to practice and to have some conversations during the session and we will share with you some post-session materials if you want to work further in this area.

The course includes:

  • Challenging scenarios and case studies
  • Creating a learning and inclusive environment and culture
  • Effective and respectful communications
  • Responsible Allyship and Becoming Anti-Racist
  • Speaking up and out and being an ‘Active Bystander’
  • Action Planning and Commitments

You’re welcome to attend this training if you are a Better Bankside member. Due to a limited capacity, we ask only two people per organisation register initially. We’ll contact anyone who registers if there are already two people signed up from your organisation and add you to a waiting list. Any remaining spaces will be allocated in the week before the webinar to those on the waiting list.
