21 March - Lorries for Savvy Cyclists

Return of this essential 10 minute training for all cyclists, plus Dr Bike and security marking
Time and details:
16:00 - 19:00
Rennie Street

Do you know where you can be seen when cycling near lorries? This eye opening event enables you to:

- Sit in an HGV cab and find out how you can keep safe
- Get your bike security marked by the Met Police for FREE
- Receive a FREE Dr Bike service.

At the last event in Bankside on 14th February the team welcomed 17 people through the cab and registered 27 bikes against theft. This takes the total number of cyclists who have had the opportunity to exchange places with a lorry driver in Bankside in the last year to over a hundred. The ambition to hold these events in Bankside started as a collaboration with developers and contractors working in the area who wished to contribute to helping to make their operations safer for cyclists. The metropolitan police now bring their own, new lorry to events and these are often hosted on or near development sites. This event in March will be hosted by St George, who are developing One Blackfriars, and their contractor Multiplex.

There's no need to book for the HGV training but you can pre-book your Dr Bike slot by emaling sk [at] with your preferred 15 minute slot.
