Tate Modern

Not sure about modern art? You’re not alone. Why not join Blue Badge Guide Diane Williams for a short taster tour of London’s iconic Tate Modern gallery and find out more about how and why modern art was created and how it is so very different to traditional art.

We’ll explore the work of Picasso, Mondrian, Anthony Gormley, Marcel Duchamp and Monet (yes he does count as a modern artist!). You’ll come face to face with iconic works from the major art movements of the C20 such as abstract, cubism, surrealism. Together we’ll discuss not just what we see in front of us, but how we are responding to the art. Who knows, you may leave the gallery a convert or even just curious to know more.

We'll be meeting at the Sumner Street entrance at 1pm.

All our events are free to those working at levy-paying businesses in Bankside. Find out more about what this means here
