London SE1 9EU

Enjoy a glass of wine at brand new venue Bankside Space as thought leaders share knowledge on their specialist subjects to help you stand out at work in a positive way.

Become an expert negotiator and learn how to have those difficult conversations. Isabelle Parasram, Head of Greycoat Law, is well versed in both legal knowledge and emotional intelligence which makes her a highly qualified speaker on this subject.

Claire Smith will offer advice on succeeding in the face of adversity, resilience, and knowing when it is time to move on.

Networking coach Heather White will take the dread out of working a room and give top tips on business networking.

There will be plenty of opportunity to meet the speakers and your Bankside neighbours after the discussions. Both business owners and employees will benefit from this session and all are welcome to attend.

The event will be hosted at bar and corporate event venue Bankside Space on Southwark Bridge Road.

About the speakers

Isabelle Parasram was called to the Bar in 1995 and is the Head of Greycoat Law, a barristers’ chambers and HR consultancy based in Tower Hill and Wanstead. Prior to becoming a dual capacity barrister, she held high-level legal roles in the public, private, charitable and small business sectors. As well as being a legal professional, Isabelle has previously been on the Directorate of several companies and has day-to-day experience of leadership and corporate strategy. As a Governor of an ‘Outstanding’ Secondary School, she is the Training Co-Ordinator for the Board of Governors and a member of the Personnel Committee. She is also a trained Adult Education Teacher and an AVA College Assessor.

Claire Smith, a former senior diplomat, runs her own business, CH Smith Consulting Ltd. After a full-time career in the public sector, Claire reinvented herself and now provides services to companies, individuals and not-for-profit clients in the UK and overseas. Claire has been a non-executive director, chair of governors of an East End primary school, and is now a trustee at Ampleforth Abbey. She has been a visiting professor and lecturer at several UK universities.

Heather White, the founder of Smarter Networking, is described as a networking architect because of her unique ability to strip down and then build up extremely successful networks. She works closely with individuals, teams and companies. She specialises in helping businesses and professional individuals create networking strategies which enable them to find and break into new sectors, form internal and external collaborations and secure new business opportunities. Heather also coaches business leaders on how to use business networking skills to achieve their individual and business performance targets. Her focus is on creating confident, engaging and willing individuals who each enjoy networking their own way.
