Yoga is an exercise program that has been practiced for approximately 5,000 years. It involves a variety of processes including breath control, simple meditation and the adoption of various bodily postures. Yoga is commonly practiced to stimulate good health and relaxation. Health benefits include increased flexibility, increased muscle strength and weight reduction.
In this 45 minute session Shen Yujie, from the Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine, will give a taster session exploring how Yoga is commonly practiced in China. When practicing Chinese yoga the intensity of each exercise can be varied, therefore this class will be suitable for everyone who is interested.
Please wear trainers and clothes you can easily move in. Please note Yoga mats will not be provided, attendees will have to bring their own.
