25 June - Bankside Charity Treasure Hunt

We challenge you and your colleagues to get creative and take to the streets of Bankside on a charity treasure hunt

A firm favourite in Better Bankside’s calendar, our annual Charity Treasure Hunt is a way for you and your colleagues to get creative and it’s all for a good cause.

On 25 June, we challenge you to take on the streets of Bankside and follow the treasure hunt route which has been carefully devised by a local company. We will be starting and ending in Flat Iron Square. 

Along the way, you’ll have to solve clues, embrace some wacky challenges and get to the finish line as quickly as possible for a well-deserved drink while the judges mark your scores.

The details
The treasure hunt will start and finish in the same place and teams will need to check in at our registration desk:

  • Team size: six people maximum per team
  • Start time: you can check in and start anytime between 5.30 – 6.30pm
  • Entry fee: £30 per team, proceeds will go to local charity Bankside Open Spaces Trust to fund their Future Gardeners training scheme (more details below)
  • Fancy dress is not essential but encouraged!

At the end of the route, we will add up the score sheets while you enjoy some refreshments at Flat Iron Square. The winning team will then be awarded a special Bankside prize.

Entry fee
The aim of the Charity Treasure Hunt is to raise funds for a local charity whilst also getting to know a bit more about Bankside. This year we are supporting Bankside Open Spaces Trust's Future Gardeners, an innovative training and work experience scheme that gives participants the core skills to gain entry-level jobs in the horticulture industry without having any previous experience or specialist education.  The scheme has a fantastic success rate, with 76% of previous participants now working in the horticultural industry. 

Entry fees are £30 per team, when you register we will send you the link to donate online. Please remember to include your company name and team name when completing the online donation form. This way when you come to the registration desk on the day we will know you have already donated.

To register, simply contact info [at] betterbankside.co.uk (subject: Bankside%20Treasure%20Hunt)  and let us know:

  • how many teams you are entering - up to 6 people per team
  • the name of each team - the more inventive the better

We’ve got 20 spots available and they go pretty fast, so get in quickly. If you'd like your organisation to enter but only have 3 people or less, let us know and we'll try to partner you up with another team. Bonus points for the most inventive team name!
