Once again, Better Bankside has teamed up with Southwark Cathedral and Borough Market to bring this magical evening to the Bankside calendar.

The annual Christingle service of readings and carols is for all in the area. Better Bankside member business employees, local families and children are all welcome, along with pupils from local schools.

Register your children to meet Santa and craft a Christingle orange at 4.15pm, or come along at 5.30pm and sing carols at the Christingle service itself, with the lighting of the candles. During the service there shall be a collection for the Childrens Society.

The magical service concludes with the switch on of Borough Market Christmas lights by Eco Chef Tom Hunt, followed by a mulled wine and mince pie reception around Borough Market's christmas tree.

No RSVP needed to join the service, but if children are attending beforehand then it is essential to info [at] (subject: Children%20for%20Dec%203rd%20Christingle%20and%20meeting%20Santa) (let us know )by Monday 1st December. This special annual event is a lovely way to begin the festive month in a spectacular Bankside landmark.

If you would like to volunteer to help with the Children meeting Santa and the making of their Chirstingles please info [at] (subject: Volunteer%203rd%20Dec) (contact us).

Oranges for the Christingles and the mince pie with mulled wine reception afterwards will very generously be donated by Borough Market.
