4 September: Cycle to Work Day 2014

RSVP by:
Monday, 1 September 2014

Cycle to Work Day takes place for its second time on 4 September and is anticipated to be bigger and better than before with thousands of commuters across the capital getting involved. Last year, tens of thousands of employees pledged to cycle a quarter of a million miles, with 12% of the employees being from London.

Getting on your bike on a regular basis can bring fantastic benefits, so to help you on to yours we have two suggestions for you:

The first is that this year, bike shops throughout the city will be giving commuting cyclists free bike checks. On Your Bike, a popular bike shop in London Bridge, is enthusiastically supporting the day by opening at 7am to offer passers by on bikes free hot drinks and breakfasts to reward you for your efforts. On top of this, they have brought in a bike mechanic expert, dubbed Dr Bike, to service bikes for free.

The second is that if you are too uncertain about cycling to get around to purchasing a bike, we can help you make up your mind! Employees of Better Bankside member companies can trial using a bike to get to work by borrowing a Brompton bike for two weeks. Just get in touch with Sam Knight, sk [at], to find out how and get your bike in time for 4th September.
