**Event Postponed: Following Government advice to avoid gatherings and unnecessary contact, all events due to take place this month have been postponed and will be rescheduled at an appropriate time. We will continue to review the evolving situation with regards to the calendar from April onwards. Our events are valued by the Bankside community and we look forward to welcoming you again soon. The Better Bankside team can be contacted via email, as always, do get in touch with any questions. Thank you in advance for your ongoing support.**

Spend a lunchtime exploring Bankside, its back streets and hidden histories with Mr Londoner, aka Antony Robbins, a speaker, guide and a former Museum of London director.

16th century ‘Banksyde’ was outside the walls of the city, making it a natural landing place for outsiders and free thinkers. It became notorious as London’s rowdy pleasure quarter full of theatres, brothels and gambling dens. Today, rich in art, entertainment and culture, Bankside has a bold and independent spirit shaped by its past - an ‘otherness’ that inspires creative thinking.

Hear more about the area you work in. Notice clues to the past which are hidden in plain sight and some stories you might not have heard...

RSVP via Eventbrite here using the password 'Bankside'.  These tours will also take place on Wednesday 29 April and Wednesday 6 May. Find them on our events page.
