Throughout history, Bankside has been on the other side of London’s mainstream. 16th century ‘Banksyde’ was outside the walls of the city, making it a natural landing place for outsiders and free thinkers. So it makes sense that our biannual Better Bankside social takes place on one of the most unusual days of the year. A day that only exists once every four years – 29 February or Leap Year Day!
We will be celebrating this ‘extra’ day by having a party to celebrate London’s Other Side, with music, food, drink and entertainment.
