A month of fitness and wellbeing events, activities and offers

After the indulgences of the festive season let us help you to achieve a better you for 2018. Throughout January we will be running a series of fitness and wellness activities for a better mind, body and soul. From weekly yoga and outdoor exercise sessions to talks on nutrition, plus exclusive Buzz card offers at local gyms, salons and more, there's something to help you achieve any of your New Year goals. 

Fitness and exercise

Kick-start the year with StreetGym®, starting Wednesday 10 January and running weekly throughout the month. See your city in a different light as we make best use of London’s iconic urban terrain. You’ll run up to three miles guided by a professional fitness instructor, stopping along the way at various bits of street furniture and architectural features to perform bodyweight based exercises.  Be prepared to crawl, jump and climb along the way. StreetGym® is great fun, will boost overall fitness and is amazing training for obstacle races like Tough Mudder and Spartan Beast. (Wednesday 10 January17 January, 24 January31 January)

For a more gentle approach or to complement a high intensity workout, try one of our yoga sessions. Each week will introduce a different style of yoga starting on Thursday 4 January with Yin yoga. Also try Ashtanga, Hatha and Nidra yoga.

Keep fit and save on travel costs by commuting by bike in 2018. If you're keen to try cycling to work but are not quite confident on the roads, join us for a practical cycle confidence training session and explore Bankside by bike. We have organised two easy paced rides led by experienced cycling instructors, one lunchtime ride and one after work.

Download one of our walking maps and take to the streets for a lunchtime speed walk. You'll cover up to three miles in 40 minutes, and burn up to 300 calories. 

Diet and nutrition

Take a look at what you eat, Food for Mood is a workshop on food for performance and stress reduction, hosted at vegetarian restaurant tibits, with a complimentary breakfast included.

On the subject of eating well, pick up some grow-your-own know how at our superfood seed sowing session. Our Urban Gardener will be hosting a session on growing alfafa sprouts and alpine strawberries. 

To celebrate Veganuary tibits Bankside are holding a special talk with one of London's leading vegan personal trainers and a vegan lifestyle blogger. Find out how it is possible to lead a healthy and stress free lifestyle while also being a fully committed vegan. As well as insider tips on how to train on a vegan diet and testimonials from people who have done body transformations while keeping to a vegan lifestyle. Book tickets here.


Learn tools and techniques for building resilience in the workplace at a seminar hosted by John Allison. John spent 24 years in the British Army, primarily in counter-terrorism, and now specialises in workplace wellbeing.
