Bankside businesses are needed to help deliver Bankside Futures, an exciting summer programme for local young people, designed to get them ready for the world of work.

Bankside Futures helps young people to build their awareness of different careers through a series of skills-based workshops, employer encounters, networking opportunities, and mock interviews.  Working in small teams, they will also use the skills they develop to create a social action project that responds to issues they care about that affect our neighbourhood, before presenting their ideas to friends, families and Banksiders at the end of the programme.

Business volunteers are key to the success of the programme, by delivering workshops or hosting workplace visits, as well as getting involved with activities and events including:

Speed-networking: join this fun and fast-paced activity on Thursday 3 August, 4pm-5pm, to help young people practice their networking skills and build their confidence to talk to new people.

Mini mock interviews: volunteer in person or online to host short interviews to help the young people gain useful experience of answering questions about themselves and their achievements.  The mock interviews take place on Tuesday 8 August 4pm-5pm and on Wednesday 9 August 4pm-5pm.

Bankside Futures runs from 1-11 August and is an opportunity to make an impact this summer and inspire the next generation.
