Better Bankside is launching a Community Micro-Grants programme this year to support organisations and groups that are working to meet the ongoing needs of our local community, especially those most adversely affected by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the inequalities it has highlighted.
Grants of up to £500 are available for organisations that are delivering services to benefit people living in the Better Bankside BID area, or those areas of Southwark which are affected by higher levels of deprivation, in particular those in north and central Southwark. Information about these areas can be found in the Information Pack.
In particular, we are keen to support one-off costs or provide a specific contribution towards work that is focused on the ongoing social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, including but not limited to:
- Digital exclusion
- Black and minority ethnic groups, including BME-led organisations
- Mental health
- Food and/or hygiene poverty
- Social isolation
- Education and employment, especially for young people
Grants will be awarded in two rounds, and application forms should be submitted by 5pm on the following dates:
Round 1 - Monday 16 November
Round 2 - Monday 8 February
Further information about the Community Micro-Grants scheme and process to apply can be found in the Information Pack, and all applications should be submitted using the Micro-Grants Application Form, both of which can be downloaded from this page.
