Network Rail are undertaking extensive works on London’s rail lines, transforming north-south travel through the Thameslink Programme. This will ensure better connections to more destinations from 2018, support new, more spacious trains, reduce delays outside London Bridge by untangling the tracks, and provide more facilities within the station.
As a result of the Thameslink Programme, there will be line closures and significantly fewer trains from 26 August to 2 September, which includes four working days. If you use the Southeastern service, there will be no trains to or from Charing Cross, Waterloo East and London Bridge. If you use the Southern service, there is dramatically reduced services to and from London Bridge on 26 and 27 August over the bank holiday weekend.
There are a range of tools available to help you make a "plan B" if you use London Bridge station on your commute. You made need to travel outside of peak times, work from home or use alternative routes. Better Bankside also offer a range of travel services to make your journey easier. If you live or work within cycling distance to Bankside, why not take advantage of our secure cycle parking facility located in the heart of Bankside?
