Network Rail are on track to opening the refurbished London Bridge station in early 2018. As part of rebuilding London Bridge station, changes over the Christmas and New Year break are planned.
In December 2017, there will be no trains at a number of London stations due to the major Thameslink Programme works for 10 days over the festive period. Trains impacted by these works include those traveling to London Bridge, Charing Cross, Cannon Street, Farringdon and City Thameslink.
London Bridge station will be closed from Saturday 23 December to Monday 1 January. These dates include the two shopping days before Christmas and the three work days (27 – 29 December).
Although you can still get to London, you may need to take an alternative route and allow more time for your journey. Make sure you plan ahead, visit the National Rail website and thameslinkprogramme.co.uk/2017
There are a number of ways you can support your business during the Christmas and New Year closure. Download the Business Toolkit developed for Better Bankside businesses. The toolkit includes:
- Posters to display around the office and leaflets explaining the scheduled changes
- Web and social media friendly animation highlighting the closures
- Web and social media copy, as well as internal communications
