COP28 brings together world leaders to drive climate action over two weeks for the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference. The conference will be running between 30th November and 12th December and here in Bankside we’re all about practical action when it comes to climate.
Better Bankside is committed to improving the sustainability of the area and we want to keep our members connected to important debates and issues affecting their sustainability journey. We have a range of projects, events and initiatives for businesses to get involved in and are always keen to hear how else we can support them.
To celebrate COP28 we’ve got a whole range of free events, workshops and clinics for you to get involved with:
- 29 Nov – Digital Sustainability Workshop Join our free workshop on digital sustainability and learn some practical steps you can take to improve your own digital carbon footprint.
- 6 Dec – COP28 Climate Think-In COP28 will take place from 30 November until 12 December 2023 and here in Bankside we’re all about practical action. We’ll be hosting our Climate Think-In to bring Banksiders together as we explore, learn and share ideas for driving climate action.
- 7 Dec – Recorra Recycling Facility Tour Come and visit the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) at Recorra and see the journey your recycling takes before it gets sent off to be turned into brand new items.
- 12 Dec – Free Business Sustainability Clinic Sign up for a 30 minute one-to-one with Bankside business FuturePlus for a free sustainability health check of your business.
If you are interested in how to improve the efficiency of your business, then the Southwark Climate Collective could be an option for you. Led by Better Bankside, the Southwark Climate Collective is a partnership including Southwark Council, Team London Bridge, The Blue Bermondsey and Elephant and Castle Business Forum, the SCC will help small and medium sized businesses to reducing carbon and cutting costs.
