FoodSave: Food recycling for food SMEs

This free service could save you money and make London a better place.

FoodSave is a project working with over 200 small and medium-sized food businesses (SMEs) across London to reduce food waste, divert surplus food to good purposes and manage unavoidable food waste more sustainably.  The project is funded by the Mayor of London, European Regional Development Fund and London Waste and Recycling Board, and is completely free to food SMEs in London.  In order to deliver the project the Greater London Authority is working with two delivery partners; the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) and Sustain.

There are many benefits to businesses from taking part in FoodSave, which include improving efficiency, improving environmental performance and, in many cases, saving money.  A large number of businesses have already received support, but FoodSave is looking for many more to take part.
