Look out this summer for our bright new colourful Bankside campaign!
This is Bankside celebrates our neighbourhood in a new and innovative way with colourful artistic bricks which celebrate this history, culture, hidden gems and attractions in Bankside – London’s Other Side.
The campaign points out over 25 places of interest in the area from the more well-known such as Borough Market, Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe to the hidden gems such as Lant Street where Dickens used to live, Great Suffolk Street Parade and Union Yard Arches.
The purpose of This is Bankside is two fold. Firstly, it is to ensure that the destination has its own distinct identity and look and feel, so people know when they have arrived in the neighbourhood. And secondly it is to bring to life the places, people and stories that make this historic area what it is today. It is hoped the campaign will encourage visitors to explore the neighbourhood further and experience everything that it has to offer.
With public realm interventions planned, hoarding, social media, new website, wayfinding and more planned, look out for the new look across all Bankside London channels including Instagram and Tik Tok.
The bricks will be added to as time goes on and Better Bankside will be at the BOS Festival this weekend asking the community to create their own brick art with what Bankside means to them. There will then be a members launch at the This is Bankside summer party on 27 June.
If you are a business who would like to use the artwork for any campaigns you are running, or would like any leaflets, please just get in touch with Emma Charter in the marketing team – ec@betterbankside.co.uk
