New faces at Better Bankside

There are some new faces at Better Bankside. Read on to learn about the new additions to our team.

You may have met Veronica Perez-Diaz out and about in Bankside already. The new Apprentice Gardener, who works with both Better Bankside and Borough Market, is greening Bankside and lavishing her horticultural attention on small, neglected spaces like tree-pits to increase biodiversity and make our streets more pleasant. If you bump into Veronica be sure to say hi!

If you ring the Better Bankside office, you’ll probably speak to Liz Prollins, the Business and Community Officer. In this new post Liz is keeping us in touch with member businesses and making sure Better Bankside’s events and community engagement run smoothly.

Thanks to funding from Lambeth Council, local recruitment initiative EmploySE1 has a new Assistant Coordinator. Chris Elders works with EmploySE1 Manager Rutie Mupfurutsa, helping Bankside businesses recruit local talent.

Dr Bike is now being coordinated by Becky Chantry, our new Travel Planning Officer. Becky supports Better Bankside’s travel and cycle-related programmes - contact her with Dr Bike or cycle freight queries.

Later this month Claudio Giambrone will start as Communications and Marketing Manager. Claudio will promote Bankside as a visitor destination, run the Bankside Venues collective and oversee all corporate communications and marketing.

We hope you’ll join us in welcoming Veronica, Liz, Chris, Becky and Claudio to Better Bankside. You can read more about them – and the rest of the team - here.
