Prudential RideLondon, returns to the Capital on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 August. London will be a great place to visit over the festival weekend, but you may want to plan ahead for road closures and bus diversions.
The cycling events will run on fully closed roads to ensure the safety of riders and spectators. All drivers are advised to avoid areas near the event routes in central London on the Saturday, and the event routes in east, central and southwest London and affected parts of Surrey on Sunday.
Buses affected by road closures will also be on diversion or will terminate earlier than usual. Tube and Rail will be the best way to get around. Detailed travel advice is available at: tfl.gov.uk/prudentialridelondon
Drivers are urged to plan ahead or to consider re-timing their journey to avoid disruption, particularly if they are making deliveries, travelling to or from airports or heading to a special event. On Sunday, a number of river crossings will be closed for some or all of the day.
