Stoney Street's Green Gateway - call for designers

As we work on reducing emissions around Borough High Street, we are looking for consultants for our flagship project, the Stoney Street Green Gateway

Borough Market is London's most renowned food and drink market, much loved by people who live, work and visit the area for its artisan British and international produce. Stoney Street, one of the main thoroughfares of Borough Market, also acts as a gateway for visitors.

Stoney Street currently lacks greenery and is not representative of the vibrancy and buzz for which Borough Market is known. This street is located off Borough High Street, an area with some of the poorest air quality, with pollution levels often exceeding recommendations set by the EU and WHO. To combat this, the Greater London Authority (GLA) has been funding Low Emission Neighbourhoods (LEN). We have been awarded funding to deliver a Low Emission Neighbourhood around Borough High Street, which will see trials of innovative solutions and behavioural changes. As a flagship for this project, and to generate interest and encourage engagement within the community, we are proposing to commission a 'Green Gateway' to Stoney Street.

For this, we are looking for a consultant to design, develop, oversee, and implement the project.

For more information on how to put your organisation forward for this project, please see the attached Design Brief.
