Street Theatre Performances of Romeo & Juliet

A very unusual production of Romeo and Juliet will take to the streets of Bankside and Blackfriars this month.

Avant Garde Dance's Romeo and Juliet is an immersive hip hop theatre piece that uses London cityscapes as the stage. This piece of street theatre combines dance and spoken word artists. The audience wear wireless headphones as they follow the cast through a variety of surprising venues and spaces across the area.

Performances will take place at various times from 20-25 August. Tickets are very limited as there is a capacity of 35 tickets per show. The show begins in The Crown Public House on Blackfriars Road and finishes by Borough tube station.

Local residents and workers are invited to attend and are offered a local discount of £9 per ticket - use the code LOCAL when prompted.
