Members who want to use this service should contact First Mile on 0800 612 9894 or by e-mail to Ben St George Ben.StGeorge [at] Thefirstmile.co.uk (subject: Better%20Bankside%20WEE%20Amnesty)  at least one week before the above dates to book in a collection. Members should give details of equipment to be collected, quantity of material and collection point.

All WEEE is taken to First Mile’s depot at Park Royal from where the materials are collected by Sims Recycling and transported to a facility in Kent. Here hazardous and non-hazardous WEEE is separated, broken down securely and recycled. Any hard drives are shredded to ensure confidentiality.

If demand is very high then collections might take place over a couple of days. In which case First Mile will make all customers aware.
