Following our gold medal success in London in Bloom 2017 with our partners BOST and Southwark Council, we will be one of four neighbourhoods in London competing in Britain in Bloom 2018.

To celebrate this, we’re launching an adopt a plot initiative, where we’re inviting businesses to 'adopt' one of our local mini-green spaces to help Bankside go for Gold in Britain in Bloom.

You might have seen our Urban Gardener Georgia out tending our network of green spaces in Bankside.  You might even have taken part in one of her popular lunchtime gardening sessions.  If you haven’t check out our upcoming events here. From April, we’ll be launching a new strand of this area of work, where we’re inviting businesses in Bankside to become Blooming Bankside Champions, by adopting one of our sites and helping us nurture and tend it.

It works like this:  we’ll give you a Blooming Bankside Champion kit, which will contain all the tools and information you’ll need to adopt a site.  Our colleague Georgia will work with you to brief you about all the activities you can do to help our network of green spaces thrive and look their best ready for the Britain in Bloom judging.

We’ll be formally launching the initiative in April, but are keen to hear from businesses who are interested in taking part.  Please contact our Urban Gardener gs [at] (subject: Blooming%20Bankside%20Champion) (Georgia Smith) to register your interest.
